We
are husband and wife team, Michele and Guy Luminato, who happen (luckily)
to share a passion for creativity and print-making. Our experiments with hand
screen printing on paper led to the birth of Cielo Blu Studios in a small
apartment in New York City, in the spring of 2003. Cielo Blu was one of the
first indie companies to lead the revival of unique commercially screen printed
papergoods. We always dare to be different and love spending our days in our
creative lab. After quickly outgrowing our Brooklyn studio, it was time to
move west. After living in Portland, Oregon for a few years, we recently moved
to Montana to be closer to family and raise our baby Bianca, and be inspired
by the great outdoors. When we are not working madly in our studio, we escape
to Guy's native land of Australia - to eat and drink, and eat some more with
his italian family.
OUR PROCESS: Cielo Blu Studios forged a distinctive
look of custom and ready-made paper products, integrating modern designs,
custom- blended inks and fine European metallic and cotton papers. We are
always in a constant search for the medium that gives us the best results
for our inspiration. Each design is either individually hand screen-printed,
letterpressed, or offset printed. Every piece is personally inspected for
exceptional quality. Most say we are crazy - we call it a labor of love.
STUDIO: We have moved our design and printing
studio to the nature inspired - big sky state of Montana. Currently, our studio
